    I make my dogs food, so once a month I cut up about 60 lbs of meat. Before getting this knife my hand would be sore for days after that task. As my hand got tired I would find myself moving it farther and farther up the handle. When I found this knife I knew this could be the answer. This is a heavy duty blade with a nice polish and very sharp. I have used it several times and it is still very sharp, and my hand is no longer sore after cutting. You will not be disappointed with this knife. It's also fine for small cutting jobs. You normally would not use a knife this size for cutting something like an onion but if you have issues with your grip or 20 onions to cut up this is your knife. I love it

The handle is incredibly solid feeling - not that cheap plastic feel you find with many alternatives. The blade is beautiful and the quality is superb.There is one minor flaw I found. If you shine the blade in the light, you can see one tiny warp right near the cutting edge. It cannot be felt, it does not cause any issues. But it is visible if you are OCD like myself and notice the little things. Most likely, this is rare and not on many, if any, others. It also does not affect the functionality of the blade.     This is a nice mid-level chef's knife. (For me - most of my kitchen knives range from $5 to $50 each.) I like the thick bolster/finger guard extending to the edge of the blade, and the full tang extending through the handle. It is well balanced and feels great in the hand. The blade thickness is somewhere in the middle, between our cheaper thinner blade knives and our nicer Sabatier. Solid enough and not flimsy. Comes in a very nice giftable box. Decently sharp out of the box but haven't used it enough yet to see how well it holds an edge. It has worked great on everything we've tried from cutting watermelon to chopping vegetables to slicing steak.
