    This company deserves a 10/10 rating. I have NEVER in my life seen a knife like this. Have you? It really does help keep better control with using. This is without even mentioning the fact of the supreme quality of the product. The handle is strong and comfortable. The blade is sharp and steel is spotless. It carries much detail to it that a picture does not do it justice. You need to order one for yourself to see!

    We found the knife to be both excellent and very lightweight. The one thing I do feel the manufacturer should addto its products, is a case so they can be put into the kitchen drawer and people can get at them without fear of cutting themselves.

    My knife arrived and the quality is better. It is a hefty knife, straight blade, with a nice edge. Only time will tell how it will hold up to repeated sharpening and cutting. But I am satisfied with the purchase.

    I recently ordered this and must agree with the majority of the reviews here. This knife is excellent in many ways!While I am not a professional chef, I do enjoy spending time in the kitchen. I have had many knife sets over the years, and none of them have ever quite met my expectations. However, this "MAIRICO Ultra Sharp Premium 8-inch Stainless Steel Chef Knife - Ultimate All-purpose Knife for Slicing, Mincing, Chopping Everything from Vegetables to Herbs to Meat" has impressed me! Certainly worth the price.It is razor-sharp straight out of the beautiful gift-box packaging (magnetic closure on the gift box). The handle is incredibly solid feeling - not that cheap plastic feel you find with many alternatives. The blade is beautiful and the quality is superb.There is one minor flaw I found. If you shine the blade in the light, you can see one tiny warp right near the cutting edge. It cannot be felt, it does not cause any issues.     This is a nice mid-level chef's knife. (For me - most of my kitchen knives range from $5 to $50 each.) I like the thick bolster/finger guard extending to the edge of the blade, and the full tang extending through the handle. It is well balanced and feels great in the hand. The blade thickness is somewhere in the middle, between our cheaper thinner blade knives and our nicer Sabatier. Solid enough and not flimsy. Comes in a very nice giftable box. Decently sharp out of the box but haven't used it enough yet to see how well it holds an edge. It has worked great on everything we've tried from cutting watermelon to chopping vegetables to slicing steak.

    I'm a chef and I've got tons of knives and knives sets one I even paid 2000 for. This knife is great. Its balanced its quality and I'm mad at myself for being dumb enough to buy a "name brand" knife set which isn't honestly up to par with this knife. Wish they had a knife set I'd buy it.
